This is crucial when dealing with couples in the early stages, you always need to have a crystal clear next step in all correspondence you have with them.
Why is this so important? It’s important that you guide the couple through your enquiry process during this stage. You don’t want the enquiry process to go on for a long period of time, you want to swiftly move them on to each stage in the process until they book with you.
This is vital otherwise you run the risk of leaving the correspondence open and another venue taking the lead, gently nudging them on until they make the booking.

So what does it actually mean to always have a crystal clear next step? This means you always need to let the couple know what comes next. This could look like:

• (Wedding quote sent) If you would like to confirm your wedding date with us you can do this by..
ALWAYS include a next step so the the couple aren’t wondering what happens next. Remember they haven’t done this before, they’re looking at you as the expert and their guiding like during this overwhelming time.
