When you receive an enquiry its possible that couples has sent out enquiry emails to 10+ venues, for this reason you need to be getting back to couples as quickly as possible.


It’s not certain that you’ll get every booking with this quick response but you will get a leg up on everyone else. The main thing those couples want to know at this stage in the enquiry is that you care about their wedding and you want to help them.


Think of experiences with this in your personal life..is there anything more frustrating that having to chase people at the enquiry stage, when you want to spend money with them and your not getting a reply. It makes you feel like they don’t want your business right? Which leaves a bad taste in your mouth & what will you do.. you’ll take your business elsewhere.




This is the same with wedding couples, It’s 2023 and couples want fast answers, they want and need information at their fingertips. If you respond quick they instantly start to trust you a little bit more because they think this venue takes their business seriously.


This does not mean you have to be glued to your inbox all day every day but you do need to a personalised automation system in place to serve your wedding couples.


What this system will do is give more time, more time to respond which means you can set aside time each day to answer your emails and you don’t have to check them every hour.


Once the couple receives that automatic email you tick some boxes and then you’ll be able to respond in full at some point that day.


What you create by doing this is trust and confidence, the couple will know that if you’re paying this much attention to an enquiry then just imagine the attention to detail that comes from your venue during the planning stages.


Couples actually expect to hear back from venues in a speedy time. I’ve met wedding coordinators who try and push back on this and purposely not reply right away because of how time consuming it is to check emails over and over throughout the day and I understand this.

I worked as a wedding coordinator for many years and I understand the time this can take up however you need to serve your couples well, especially this early on in the enquiry. Therefore you need to be smart
